It was a summer day in August and I was lying on the beach thinking of all the stuff I had to do, when I stopped and took a look around me. There were a bunch of kids playing, a group of friends laughing, a couple kissing and a family building a sand castle. It had just dawned on me, it wasn't just any summer day it was a beautiful summer day and I should stop thinking about all the stuff I had to do and take a lazy moment to enjoy it all. So I lay back, put my hands behind my head and phased out for ten to soak up all the goodness.
After that day, "Lazy Ten™" and the idea of "Lay Back Enjoy Today!" was born. In order to convey the Lazy Ten™ message, I needed a character that encapsulated everything Lazy Ten™ stands for. Someone cool, smart, funny and above all, someone who brings a smile to our faces. I had been playing around designing a character for several years. A character that is taking a Lazy Ten™ and hence, has a phased out look. After some thought, I named him Tim. Don't ask, it just felt right!
